Visit Maldives has launched a tourism promotion campaign targeting tourists from Switzerland.
Visit Maldives stated the campaign in Switzerland is being conducted in association with Let’s Go Tours. The campaign aims to advertise the Maldives as a safe and popular travel destination in the Swiss market. The campaign is set to be conducted until the end of June.
Visit Maldives said the first activity under the campaign is a virtual direct customer event, which will be attended by 150-200 travel agents. Furthermore, a newsletter will be published and sent to 1,900 travel trade members and 8,500 private clients, advertising the Maldives. As part of the campaign, Let’s Go Tours will share information on the Maldives on its social media platforms, and conduct an outdoor campaign for a period of six months.
Visit Maldives further revealed the Maldives will also be advertised on buses travelling in the Swiss town of Schaffhausen. The advertisement is expected to reach 82,000 people.
Let’s Go Tours is a Swiss tour operator specializing in travels to countries in Africa, the Middle-East and the Indian Ocean. Established in 1994, the company is one of the most popular tour operators in the Swiss upscale market.
Switzerland is an important market for the Maldivian tourism industry. As per the statistics of the Ministry of Tourism, Switzerland ranks eighth among the countries which have contributed the highest number of tourists to the Maldives this year.
