Ministry of Finance has announced the project to develop junior colleges in Dhihdhoo, Haa Alifu Atoll and Kendhikulhudhoo, Noonu Atoll.
The announcement by the finance ministry stated the project is to be carried out under a public-private partnership, on a design, build, finance and operate basis. Under the project, a junior college and accommodation block will be developed in both islands.
The finance ministry has requested interested parties to submit their Expression of Interest (EOI) before May 24, 2021. The Terms of Reference (ToR) of the project will be available from the website of the finance ministry starting from April 25.
The junior college project is carried out under the new educational model introduced by the Ministry of Higher Education. Colleges developed under the new model will focus on foundation courses for students aged between 16 and 21, who have completed their O’Level examinations.
