MNDF introduces military justice system, rebrands website

Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) has introduced the military justice system and rebrands its official website.

At a special ceremony, Minister of Defence Mariya Ahmed Didi introduced the new website and the military justice system for the first time in MNDF history. The MNDF website contains information regarding military services and activities, and is used to publicise the latest news and information of the Maldivian military.

The military justice system is a separate and distinct body of laws and procedures governing members of the armed forces. Legal issues unique to military justice include the preservation of good order and discipline, the legality of orders, and appropriate conduct for members of the military.

Those at the ceremony included Chief of Defence Force Major General Abdulla Shamaal, Principal Director of Civil Affairs Lieutenant Colonel Adnan Mohamed, and Commanding Officer of MNDF Media and Public Service Major Ibrahim Azim. General officers, unit commanders, warrant officers, and enlisted leaders also participated in the ceremony.
