Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) has commenced a major tourism promotion campaign for the Maldives in Russia.
The campaign, which is conducted in collaboration with the Association of Tour Operators in Russia (ATOR), is a one-month long promotional campaign aimed at advertising the Maldives as a safe tourist destination in the Russian market. ATOR consists of more than 100 tour operators active in Russia, and is a renowned source of travel content and tourism in Russia.
Russia is a major source of tourists to the Maldives. As per the statistics of the Ministry of Tourism, Russia is the second largest source of tourists to the Maldives this year, only behind India.
