National progress relies heavily upon skillfulness of the youth: Vice President

Vice President Faisal Naseem has stated that the development and progress of a nation rely heavily upon the skillfulness and innovative capacity of its youth. He made the statement while speaking at the opening ceremony of the contemporary art exhibition 'Unveiling Visions 2020' at the National Art Gallery.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Vice President Faisal Naseem extended greetings to all youth on the occasion of National Youth Day. Speaking in that regard, he stated that government attaches high priority to human resource capacity development and to assisting youth to strengthen their technical and innovative skills. He urged all youth to utilise their prime years constructively and to strive to become valuable members of society.

Vice President Faisal Naseem unveiled the official website of the Maldives Artist Community (MAC) and presented commemorative plaques, certificates and cash prizes to the top four artists. He also met with the gifted artists behind the artwork as he toured the exhibition and inquired about their art.

'Unveiling Visions' is an annual contemporary art exhibition organised by the MAC since 2016. This year’s exhibition showcases paintings from 53 local artists.
