Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has decided to investigate Judge of Civil Court of the Maldives Zubair Mohamed over allegations of participating in political activities.
In a circular, JSC said it has decided to investigate allegations that Judge Zubair Mohamed is participating in political activities and physically participating in the works of an organisation. JSC stated a committee has been formed to investigate the allegations.
Previously, JSC had revealed serious allegations against Chief Judge of Civil Court Abdulla Ali are also under investigation. According to JSC, the judge is being investigated over the dissolution of a case submitted to the court, in the absence of the individual representing the plaintiff and without having issued a summons.
