Fuvahmulah City Council has extended the closure of shops in the city until May 31.
The city council stated the closure of shops was extended until the end of this month as a precautionary measure against COVID-19. However, the city council stated shops can conduct delivery services during this period, under the same policy which is currently being followed.
Shops in Fuvahmulah were initially closed from April 23 to May 3, before being extended until May 17. The extension until May 31 is the second extension announced by the city council.
