Kuredu to shut down operations till end of June

Kuredu Island Resort has decided to shut down operations until the end of June.

Kuredu issued a statement, revealing the decision to shut down operations from April 15 to June 30 in order to contain the spread of COVID-19. The resort thanked its stakeholders and authorities for the continued assistance and cooperation during this difficult situation.

The first positive case of COVID-19 in Maldives was reported from Kuredu. Five of the 13 positive cases in Maldives so far have been reported from Kuredu, including a doctor and a dive centre staff at the resort.

In addition to Kuredu, Kuramathi Island Resort Maldives has also decided to shut down operation till the end of June. Kuramathi announced the resort will be reopened on July 1.
