Civil Court of Maldives has reported the completion of 4,900 cases submitted in 2019.
According to statistics publicised by the court, 1,781 cases were registered at the beginning of 2019, while 4,700 new cases were submitted by the end of the year. The court stated only 1,574 cases remained incomplete by the end of the year.
Civil Court has also concluded cases that have been long standing. As per the publicised information, only 6 long-standing cases remained incomplete by the end of 2019. The court also resolved 2,253 cases through the dispute resolution process.
In 2019, Civil Court prepared 7,109 case reports, issued 45,922 court warrants and issued case reports to 1,495 individuals.
