Attorney General's Office (AGO) has revealed it counselled in over 1,000 cases in 2019.
Statistics publicised by the AGO indicates that it counselled in 1,003 cases from a total of 1,082 it received from government institutions. The counsels cover a range of legal opinions including 27 consultations regarding ratification of bills, 254 concerning agreements, 103 on regulations and 52 on policies while it provided legal counsel on 15 international charters in addition to 452 other consultations.
AGO is mandated with providing necessary legal counsel to government authorities and institutions.
