Maldives Police Service has arrested an individual in connection to the murder of the taxi driver Qasim Hassan.
A tweet made by the Commissioner of Police Mohamed Hameed confirmed a male in connection to the murder of taxi driver Gasim Hassan has been arrested. In the tweet, CP Hameed expressed gratitude towards the investigative work carried out by police officers.
Qasim Hassan was brutally murdered on December 4. Maldives Police Service recovered forensic evidence including fingerprint and DNA samples of the attackers 300 feet away from the area he was found.
Maldives Police Service is yet to share further details of the arrest.
