EU Charge' d'affaires a.i. calls on Foreign Minister

Chargé d'Affaires a.i. of the European Union to Maldives Thorsten Bargfrede pays a courtesy call on Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulla Shahid.

During the meeting held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday, the foreign minister and the chargé d'Affaires a.i. held discussions on the existing cooperation programmes between Maldives and EU. They also explored on expanding the cooperation on counter-radicalisation and increasing support from the EU to implement the reform initiatives of the government.

Foreign Minister Shahid was accompanied by Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Ahmed Khaleel during the meeting.
