The new Non-Resident Ambassador of Maldives to Bhutan Aishath Mohamed Didi has presented her Letter of Credence to the King of Bhutan Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck.
At the ceremony held at Tashichhodzong, Ambassador Aisha said she was immensely privileged to have the opportunity to work with Bhutan to strengthen the close and cordial relationship between the two countries. She also conveyed warm greetings from the President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and the people of Maldives to the Kingdom of Bhutan.
As the newly accredited ambassador, Aisha expressed she is committed to take the relations between the two countries to a new level, with the increase of people-to-people contact, cultural exchanges and cooperation on mutually beneficial development areas including tourism.
On the occasion of presenting her credentials, Ambassador Aisha also called on Prime Minister of Bhutan Dr Lotay Tshering and Minister of Foreign Affairs Lyonpo Damcho Dorji.
