Vice President Faisal Naseem has visited the site of Friday's tragic fire incident in Male' City and checked on the progress of work at the site.
Vice President Naseem toured the area and met with officials assessing the damage and workers clearing the site, after last Friday's tragic incident. During the visit, he advised authorities to take caution while undertaking the work of assessing the damage and during site clearance.
Speaking to the officials after the tour, the vice president said the administration will not allow a repetition of such disasters and that it is doing everything within its power to alleviate safety standards in general. He added the administration will no longer sit back and wait for disaster to befall and that it would learn from the past and act upon the lessons.
Furthermore, the vice president sent heartfelt condolences to the victim's family, emphasising the whole country mourns the loss.
