Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr. Ahmed Zahir has met Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance of Saudi Arabia Sheikh Abdullatif bin Abdul Aziz bin Abdul Rahman Al-Asheikh.
During the meeting held in Cairo, as part of his visit to Egypt, the ministers discussed on further enhancing ties between the two countries, in addition to extending cooperation in matters of mutual interests in the international fora.
In the meeting, Minister Zahir highlighted the efforts of King of Saudi Arabia Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud for his contributions for Islamic affairs and serving Muslims around the world in line with the Kingdom's leading position in the Islamic world. He also noted the need to work together to combat violent extremism and terrorism.
Islamic Minister Zahir is in Cairo to attend the 30th General Conference of the Egyptian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs.
