Head of Maldivian Hajj Mission meets Maldivian pilgrims

The Head of Maldivian Hajj Mission has met the Maldivian pilgrims currently in Saudi Arabia.

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih appointed Minister of National Planning and Infrastructure Mohamed Aslam as the Head of Maldivian Mission this year. The Government of Maldives appoints a Head of Maldivian Hajj Mission to assist the pilgrims travelling to Saudi Arabia from Maldives.

During the meeting, Minister Aslam inquired the situation of the pilgrims and their well-being.

The Government of Saudi Arabia provided 2,000 slots for Maldivians to perform Hajj. All slots received this year have been occupied, according to Ministry of Islamic Affairs.
