JSC prepares report on Criminal Court

Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has prepared a report identifying issues at Criminal Court of Maldives.

JSC revealed the report was prepared as part of the efforts to determine the reasons behind delays in the conclusion of cases pending in courts of law. The report was prepared by a special committee to look into the cases pending at the courts.

The report identifies the pending cases and their reasons for delay, according to JSC. Furthermore, JSC stated the report will be submitted to President's Office, parliament and independent institutions.
