Maldives have arranged 90 days on arrival visa to Russia.
Maldivians travelling to the Russia will be exempted from visa, to enter, stay, exit or transit through the territory of Russia, effective from July 25, according to the agreement on Mutual Exemption of Visa Requirements for Nationals of the Republic of Maldives and Nationals of the Russian Federation. The arrangement applies for all Maldivian nationals holding valid travel documents and not intending to work, study or reside in Russia.
While speaking to the Russian media after the signing ceremony, Minister Shahid said the agreement will further enhance broader cooperation and coordination on bilateral issues and facilitate stronger trade and economic relations between both countries.
The agreement aims to enhance greater exchange of people to people contact between the two countries and would provide 90 days on arrival visa for citizens of both Maldives and Russia.
It is important that all travellers ensure they have confirmed hotel bookings, return tickets and adequate funds while travelling to Russia, according to Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Maldives.
