The US have extended Independence Day greetings to Maldives.
In a message sent, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo conveyed well-wishes on the joyous occasion of the Independence Day on behalf of the US Government. He stated it has been inspiring to witness the remarkable democratic transformation of Maldives, assuring to remain dedicated to further strengthening bilateral relationship.
In the message, the secretary of state expressed hope to continue to collaborate with the Government of Maldives in the years ahead to support the reform efforts and achieve a vision of a free, open and rules-based Indo-Pacific region.
