President declares July 28 and August 15 as Public Holidays

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has declared July 28 as a public holiday. The decision was made due to a large number of students, civil servants, and public sector staff participating in the Independence Day celebratory events.

The president also declared August 15 as a public holiday, to allow Eid Holidays to continue uninterrupted and to ensure all students and workers can travel and visit their families and friends.
