Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has taken statements from 3 judges at the Supreme Court of Maldives regarding ongoing investigations.
JSC said it took statements from Chief Justice Dr. Ahmed Abdulla Didi, Judge Adam Mohamed Abdulla and Judge Abdulla Areef. Although JSC said it is investigating 2 cases against 3 judges at the Supreme Court, no further details were revealed.
The investigative committee formed by JSC include Vice President of JSC Masthoor Husny, commission members Abdul Rauf Ibrahim, Hisaan Hussain, Mohamed Esafulhu, Abdul Hannaan Ahmed President of Civil Service Commission (CSC) Dr. Ali Shameem and Attorney General of Maldives Ibrahim Riffath.
Furthermore, JSC has also submitted a motion to the parliament to remove Judge Abdulla Didi from the Supreme Court.
