Indian Prime Minister to visit Maldives on June 8

President's Office officially has announced the dates of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Maldives.

Prime Minister Modi will visit Maldives from June 8-9, following an invitation President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, according to President's Office.

Speaking at a press conference held on Sunday, Secretary General Fathimath Niusha said Modi will address the parliament on June 8 at around 1845 hours. The special sitting will be attended by cabinet ministers, senior government officials and ambassadors residing in Maldives, she said.

Maldives is the first country Prime Minister Modi is visiting following his re-election to a second term.
