State grants 12 months for resorts to clear taxes

The government has granted 12 more months for resorts to clear all due taxes.

Speaking during a press, Minister of Tourism Ali Waheed revealed some resorts which are under development are careless in paying the taxes to government. On the same note, the tourism minister said such resorts are given a period of 1 year to clear all taxes and if they still fail to make payments, necessary actions will be taken against those resorts.

Meanwhile, the tourism ministry has sent notices to 7 resorts reminding to pay taxes.

Furthermore, Minister Ali Waheed said if the resorts fail to pay taxes within the given time frame, relevant authorities will take immediate actions. The minister mentioned that tax belongs to the public adding no further leniency will be granted by government.
