The number of tourist arrivals from Japan have doubled in last month.
Over 6,300 tourists arrived to Maldives form Japan, according to statistics of Ministry of Tourism. Japan is recorded as the second country with most arrivals to Maldives from south Asia region while most number of tourists from a single country of south Asia is recorded from China.
Moreover, while 6,389 tourists arrived last month, it is an increase of 72.8% compared to same period last year.
