Minister of Home Affairs Imran Abdulla has stated having to serve a jail sentence should not become an obstacle in one's pursuit of knowledge. The minister made the statement addressing the special function held to inaugurate the book donation programme.
Convincing convicts to use their time in detention in a constructive manner would reap great benefits. Addressing the function Minister Imran added the government aims to improve the status of detention facilities in the country and that one of the best places to begin would be changing the mind-set of detainees and detainers alike.
