The Prosecutor General's Office has called upon people who have not received compensation for being swindled out of money by Al Fatah Hajj and Umrah Group to come forward and share their information with Maldives Police Service.
A statement issued by Prosecutor General's Office stated despite the Criminal Court ruling in favour of the defendant Musthafa Mohamed Didi, the Director of Al Fatah Hajj and Umrah Group of collecting payments from customers, in contravention of the laws regulating the Hajj and Umrah pilgrimage, the case has been appealed the verdict at the High Court. The office added despite the case being of public interest, attempts by police to find people who have not received compensation for being swindled by the organisation, have been in vain.
Thus, the Prosecutor General's Office appealed to all relevant parties to share information with Maldives Police Service before May 30.
