The Government of Maldives has strongly condemned the terrorist attacks on two pumping stations on Saudi Aramco's East-West pipeline in the governorates of Al-Dawadmi and Afif in Saudi Arabia on May 14.
A statement from Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Maldives said the cowardly act of terrorism and the recent acts of sabotage in the Arabian Gulf targets the security and stability of the region and also threatens the global economy. The Government of Maldives also reaffirmed its solidarity with the Government of Saudi Arabia against those threatening its security and further commends the constructive role of the kingdom in bringing harmony, peace and security to the entire region.
Maldives added it is fully committed to the fight against terrorism and will continue to work closely with the international community in eliminating this global menace.
