The Government of Saudi Arabia has donated 50 tonnes of dates to Maldives. The donation by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre was accepted by Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr. Ahmed Zahir.
Speaking to media after the ceremony held at Saudi Arabia Embassy in Maldives, Islamic Minister Ahmed Zahir stated the arrangements to distribute the dates will be made before Ramadan, adding preparations to distribute the dates are underway.
However, no further details were revealed during the ceremony.
