Vice President Faisal Naseem has stated the change shown by the public will be reciprocated by the administration.
In a tweet posted following the landslide win by the main ruling party, Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) in the parliamentary election, the vice president stated the difference and the trust shown by the citizens will be shown by the government.
Faisal Naseem is a member of Jumhooree Party (JP) and fills a slot of JP in the administration. However, he was seen actively participating in campaign activities of MDP and worked to secure support for its candidates. He also participated in the celebratory gathering held by MDP late Saturday night.
Initial results show MDP has won about 67 out of the 87 seats in the parliament.
