Male' City Council has revealed plans to introduce a new website and a mobile application, in efforts to modernise the provision of municipal services.
Male' City Council claims due to being forced to relocate the Council Secretariat at repeated intervals during the previous administration, documentation and assets have been damaged.
Speaking with PSM News, Deputy Mayor of Male' City Shamaau Shareef said the issue has been addressed and the council has found an adequate space to store the documents. He added the council aims to establish modern counters to provide municipal services at the Council Secretariat.
As part of the efforts to modernise services, the deputy mayor said the city council has been holding consultations with the National Centre for Information Technology (NCIT) and the telecommunication companies operating in the country; Ooredoo Maldives and Dhiraagu.
