Maldives to provide land to relocate Indian Embassy

Government of Maldives has decided to provide a land plot in Hulhumale’ to relocate Embassy of India in Maldives.

The decision was announced at the joint press statement issued as part of the official trip of Minister of External Affairs of India Sushma Swaraj to Maldives upon the invitation of Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulla Shahid. In the statement, India appreciated the decision of Maldives to provide land in Hulhumalé for the Indian Embassy.

The government previously provided a land plot from the capital, Male’ City, to build the embassy.
