The low-cost carrier IndiGo has decided to operate flights from Pune, India to Maldives. According to Times of India, the airline will commence operations during late March this year. These would be IndiGo's first international flights operated from Pune.
IndiGo revealed, the 10-hour flight is expected to start operations from March 25, although no further details were disclosed. IndiGo added, the airline has been seeking to begin an international connection from Pune for a long time.
According to the India Times, the flight will not be a direct flight since it will transit at Bengaluru. The budget passenger carrier started flights to the Maldives on November last year as a part of its international expansion.
