President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has met members of Gan Island Council and senior officials of some institutions in the island.
During the meeting, the members of the council briefed the president on the administration of the council and moreover, informed the president on the challenges faced in carrying out the work of the council and briefed on the aspiration and requests of the people of the island in developing the community. In this regards, discussions were held on solving the housing issues, creating more job opportunities by investing in tourism, migrating other people to Gan, road development, solving the difficulties in the education sector and developing the health sector.
In a separate meeting, President Solih met the senior officials of some institutions in Gan and enquired about the current situation and the challenges faced in carrying out the mandates of the institutions. Further discussions were held on finding solutions to tackle the challenges.
