Former Minister Iruthisham Adam signs for Jumhooree Party

Former Minister of Youth and Sports Iruthisham Adam has signed for Jumhooree Party.

The former minister, who served in the previous administration, handed over the membership form to the Leader of Jumhooree Party Qasim Ibrahim at a function held at the party headquarters.

Speaking after signing for the party forming the government coalition, Iruthisham said Jumhooree Party is the first political movement she signed for and noted Qasim Ibrahim is a leader she highly respects. This is the first time a high ranking official from the previous administration signed for a party forming the government coalition.

Iruthisham, who filled the positions of Minister of Health and Minister of Youth and Sports in the previous administration, also served in the administrations of former President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom, former President Mohamed Nasheed and former President Dr. Mohamed Waheed Hassan Manik, filling the positions of Ambassador, Deputy Ambassador and other foreign service posts.
