President of President of the Commission on Investigation of Murders and Enforced Disappearances Husnul Suood has forwarded the necessary evidence to Judicial Service Commission (JSC) regarding the alleged relations between judges and gangs in Maldives.
Husnul Suood was summoned to the committee investigating the case and provided necessary information. Husnul Suood spoke on the relationship between gangs and judges at a press conference held by the President of the Commission on Investigation of Murders and Enforced Disappearances.
The committee formed by JSC aims to investigate the points highlighted by Suood and assist authorities to take necessary actions in needed. As the allegations against judges immensely disturbed the public and is directly related to the judiciary of Maldives, the allegations will completely be investigated in efforts to ensure and regain the public trust, according to JSC.
At the press conference held on December 30, Husnul Suood expressed doubts the cases will be concluded fairly by the existing bench at the courts of law.
