Minister of Tourism Ali Waheed has said efforts to promote tourism in Fuvahmulah will be conducted collectively with the participation of the city council. The tourism minister made the remarks as part of his trip to Fuvahmulah City to identify ways island tourism can be enhanced in Maldives.
During the visit to Fuvahmulah, Minister Ali Waheed met with the council and inquired about the situation of the tourism sector in the city. The minister assured to grant necessary authority to the council to enhance local tourism in the city. He also requested the city council to submit a tourism master plan for the next five or ten years.
Before travelling to Fuvahmulah City, Minister Ali Waheed visited Addu and assessed the situation of local tourism in the city.
