Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) has appointed Maldives TV, operated by Public Service Media (PSM), as the media partner and signs with other partners of the 2nd Edition of the Adventures of Maldives.
Adventures of Maldives is a Facebook Video competition held in partnership with Red Bull. The media event was officially opened by acting Managing Director of MMPRC Haris Mohamed.
During the ceremony, Haris Mohamed stated the second Edition of Adventure of Maldives will provide a platform that fascinates and encourages both locals and tourists to share the adventurous side of Maldives, adding it would also be great opportunity for people to see the first hand experiences of Maldives and attract more visitors to the destination.
The signing ceremony was attended by sponsors, event partners and senior officials from Ministry of Tourism, board members and officials of MMPRC. Agreements were signed with the title sponsor of the competition, Red Bull and co-sponsors Euro Marketing Private Limited and Techstreet Solutions Private Limited. In addition, MMPRC appointed Maldives.net as the digital media partner and DhiPrint and Publisher as the printing partner.
The Adventures of Maldives aims to showcase personally shot video clips of locals and tourists engaging in adventurous activities in Maldives. MMPRC believes the event will have a positive impact on promotional value to the Maldives as a tourist destination itself. The co-promotional marketing activity was initiated in 2017.
Adventures of Maldives has been defined as conventional adventure related activities in the Maldives such as scuba diving, island excursions, festivals, free diving, surfing, snorkelling, water sports and also as unconventional adventure related activities in the Maldives. Winners of this competition is set to receive over USD 7,700 as prize money.
Top 10 videos selected after judging which will also be featured on the officer YouTube Channel of MMPRC and endorsed on other social and online media channels of MMPRC as well as international travel and trade fairs.
