Ministry of Education has revealed all students will receive tablets by the end of next week, as part of the school digitalisation project initiated by the government of Maldives.
Speaking with PSM News, Minister of State at Ministry of Education Dr. Abdulla Nazeer said tablets have been distributed to most of the students, while tablets will be handed over to the remaining students by the end of next week. Tablets are currently utilised by students of grades 9 and 10, according to Nazeer.
Education Ministry began distributing tablets to teachers in May, while students started receiving the tablets on June, as part of the project to digitalise the education system in the country. Meanwhile, education ministry also held familiarisation programmes for teachers.
Over 70,000 tablets will be distributed to teachers and students under the programme, according to the ministry.
