Current administration restored the nation's reputation: President

President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has underscored the administration had to regain the reputation of the country, which was lost when Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) was in power.
Addressing the ceremony held at Dhuvaafaru in Raa Atoll, President Abdulla Yameen spoke on the development projects initiated by the government in Dhuvaafaru, highlighting further development projects in the pipeline. In this regard, President Yameen revealed plans of the government to handover two school buses to Dhuvaafaru before the beginning of the next academic year.
Moreover, the president noted Maldivians trust the current administration to solve all the major issues faced by the people. Noting the manifesto of the ruling party is based on shared progress, the president underlined the administration treats the country's youth, women, senior citizens, people with disabilities equally, when it comes to national development.
Speaking in this regard, the president said he aspires to seek economic development to Maldives, alongside improving the livelihood of the people. The president also revealed his aim to find avenues of income for every citizen who aspires and strives for a better life.
