Ministry of Housing and Infrastructure has revealed the main entrance gate of Sinamale' Bridge is nearing completion. The main entrance of Sinamale' Bridge depicts the Islam, unity and nationalism of Maldives.
While the government expects to complete the bridge by the end of the month, the contractor is currently installing lights and guardrails on the bridge. The 1.39 km long bridge will have two car lanes and separate lanes for bicycles, motorcycles, and pedestrians.
It is estimated the bridge would cost USD 210 million, of which USD 126 million will be paid by the government of China as a grant aid.
