Minister of Home Affairs Azleen Ahmed has stated Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) promotes an ideology of destruction and it is not expected to change.
The past decade proves that MDP is based on an ideology which has caused numerous damages to public infrastructure and public property, Home Minister Azleen Ahmed said speaking on a programme aired on PSM News. In this regard, the home minister noted the chaos pursued by the main opposition party for over a decade which has disrupted the peace and the sovereignty of the country.

Moreover, Minister Azleen reiterated with the party fielding a different candidate for the upcoming presidential election, it is unlikely a change in ideology will be practised. The home minister expressed concerns the rapid development, the advanced economy and the peace and stability in Maldives would be dismantled if MDP comes back to power.
