165 students graduates from Maldives Polytechnic

Director of Student Service at Maldives Polytechnic Maajidhaa Majeed has revealed the vocational education centre which has a history of over 30 years, achieved the most in the presidency of the current president Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom.
All-inclusive policy of the government has revolutionised the educations sector of the Maldives, Director of Student Service at Maldives Polytechnic Maajidhaa Majeed stated while speaking at the graduation ceremony of Maldives Polytechnic for the year 2018. Noting that it is evident just by the number of graduates from polytechnic alone, Maajidhaa Majeed said the visionary agenda of President Yameen has enhanced the system of the polytechnic in regard to human resource and technicality.
Moreover, Maajida noted that education system in Maldives is experiencing new heights with the introduction systems such as virtual learning. Shedding light on the achievements of the past four years, Maajidhaa Majid revealed that 57% of the students graduated while at jobs, and 41% of the students are in jobs that are related to their courses.
The ceremony held at Hiriya School marked the graduation of 165 students from polytechnic. Established in 1975, Maldives Polytechnic is the first educational institution offering technical and vocational education in the Maldives.
