Minister of Education Dr. Aishath Shiham has highlighted President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom is an economic expert who has identified the talent and capability of the youth in its fullest.
A large percentage of the graduates of Maldives Polytechnic within the past four years are guaranteed with jobs of their desire, education minister Aishath Shiham stated while speaking at the graduation ceremony of Maldives Polytechnic 2018.
Moreover, minister Aishath Shiham underlined President Yameen is the only President who has proven the practicality of the all-inclusive education policy. Those are visible from the achievements of polytechnic during the past four years alone, according to the education minister.
Highlighting the number of students participating in the courses available in Maldives Polytechnic recorded at 1,500, the minister revealed it is an increase of 50% compared to the number of students who attended courses of polytechnic during 2017.
Further, stating the President prioritises empowering youth of the country, minister Aishath Shiham added within the past couple of years, the government embarked on youth related programmes to an amount which was never thought possible in the past.
