Nominee evaluations for the most prestigious tourism award in the region, the South Asian Travel Awards (SATA) has started in Sri Lanka.
The nominations for SATA awards held this year will be judged by experts in the tourism industry from India, Sri Lanka and Maldives. The awards will be presented in 50 categories and while 50% of the marks are awarded from the judging panel, the remaining 50% is earned through online voting. The online voting will be open till the end of this month.
Nominees from each country would be judged at their country. Nominee evaluations were first commenced in Maldives on June 19. Awards will be presented at the Award Ceremony held from November 14 to 15 in Mumbai of India
SATA was launched in 2016 by the Maldives-based event management company, High Rise Private Limited.
