Maldives sends condolences to Japan following earthquake

The government of Maldives has sent condolences to Japan following the earthquake in Osaka.
In this regard, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Maldives Dr. Mohamed Asim sent a message of condolence to Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan Tarp Kano. In his message, the Minister said he was deeply saddened to hear about the news of the tragic loss of innocent lives and injury to many, as well as damage to property and infrastructure caused by the strong earthquake that struck Osaka area in Western Japan. On behalf of the Government and people of the Maldives, Minister Asim extend deepest sympathies to the government and the people of Japan.
Furthermore, all Maldivians in Osaka area are safe, according to Foreign Ministry of Maldives. Maldives Embassy in Tokyo is closely monitoring the earthquake situation, added the Ministry.
