Ministry of Education has begun the distribution of digital tablets to the students as a part of the school digitalisation programme. The distribution of tablets to the students studying in Male' and in other islands is processed as planned and during the distribution, the main focus will be given to the students studying in the islands rather the students studying in Male', according to the Ministry.
Moreover, the Ministry stated all the schools are working on making the students and parents familiar with this project. Under the programme, over 8,000 tablets has already been distributed to the teachers and around 63,000 tablets will be distributed to the students, said the Ministry.
Furthermore, teachers have been trained as from now on, the schools will start teaching with the help of Information Communication Technology, according to the Ministry. The WIFI network of the schools also has been upgraded as part of the programme.
