Land reclamation of Faresmaathodaa airport contracted to Gulf Cobla

Government of Maldives has revealed land reclamation and land protection of Faresmaathodaa in Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll to Gulf Cobla Tennssor Maldives. The agreement was signed by Minister of Tourism Moosa Zameer and Managing Director of Gulf Cobla Ahmed Maikal.
The project which costs over USD 2.5 million must be completed within three months. The airport development in Faresmaathodaa will benefit the people of the atoll, Tourism Minister Zameer stated speaking at the ceremony. The Minister highlighted that transportation is a huge issue faced all over Maldives.
Gulf Cobla revealed survey works are currently underway to commence the environmental impact assessment of the area.
