In the yearly Brides Honeymoon Awards of an American Bridal Magazine Condé Nast, the Maldives won a spot from the list of The Most Romantic Destinations of 2018. Other destinations that made it to the list include Australia, Bahamas, Barbados, Cayman Islands, Costa Rica, Fiji, Greece, Hawaii, Italy, Mexico, Philippines, Seychelles and Thailand.
