12% increase on tourist arrivals in April

Ministry of tourism has revealed tourist arrivals increased 12.7% in April, compared to the same month of last year. Tourist arrivals recorded 539,816 during April, which is an impressive growth of 12.7% compared to the same period of last year, according to statistics published by Tourism Ministry.
Statistics revealed 56% of the tourist arrivals in April were from Europe. Meanwhile, Asia and Pacific contributed 36% of the tourist arrivals in the time frame. While 5% of the arrivals were from America, 3% of the total tourist arrivals were from the Middle East.
Leading tourist market is China with 16%, following Italy with 9%, in addition to 8% from both UK and Germany, followed by 6% from Russia, according to the monthly statistics.
