Dhaalu Airport Holdings to introduce new airline and a flying school

Dhaalu Airport Holdings Private Limited has revealed plans to introduce a new airline and to launch a brand new flying school in the country. The company currently manages the domestic airport developed at Kudahuvadhoo of Dhaalu Atoll.
The airport currently has a high demand of tourist arrivals due to the fast speed blooming of tourism in the area, Manager of Dhaalu Airport Mohamed Ibrahim said in an interview with PSM News. Dhaalu Airport Holdings Private Limited has planned further development of the airport and revealed plans to introduce a new airline and to establish a new flying school, which would revolutionise the aviation sector of Maldives, revealed Mohamed Ibrahim.
Furthermore, he noted with the added investments, the price of air tickets would see a decrease across the country. With the increase in tourist arrivals at the airport, Dhaalu Airport Holdings has also planned to introduce private jet parking service.
The government of Maldives plans to upgrade Dhaalu Airport, which was inaugurated by President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom, to an international airport with the increasing prominence of tourism in the region. The airport is among the best airports in the country in terms of the latest technological services available for passengers. The national airline, Maldivian, operates 8 to 9 flights a day to the domestic airport, which has a runway of 1800 metres.
